WAILOA CHEERLEADERS REGISTRATION
Where: Wailoa Razorbacks Pop Warner Football Association
When: 9 a.m. Saturday, July 9
Details: Currently registering for cheerleaders ages 5-15 for the following divisions: Mitey Mites (age 5-9), Pee Wees (age 9-12) and Midgets (age 11-15). Fundraising opportunities provided and are currently ongoing to assist with cheer expenses. Season begins Aug. 1.

Details: The weekly, two-hour Friday Riding Program is open to students 8 and older. Generally it runs from 3 to 5 p.m., although the time may vary. $40 per session.

POP WARNER YOUTH FOOTBALL
Where: Panaewa Park, 100 Ohuohu St., Hilo
Details: Panaewa Alii is registering Pop Warner tackle football players and cheerleaders. Early registration discount fee ends July 15. Divisions are Mitey Mites (ages 7-9, 45-90 pounds), Pee Wees (9-11, 75-120 or 12, 75-100) and Midgets (12-14, 95-160 or 15, 95-140) pounds. Cheerleader positions are for ages 5-15. Participants must have a 2011 dated physical, copy of certified birth certificate and a fourth-quarter report card. Participant's age is of July 31. Practice begins at 4 p.m. Aug. 1 at Panaewa Park. MID-MONTH SATURDAY ART DAY
Where: Village Toy Shop, 235 Waianuenue Ave., downtown Hilo

Details: This free mid-month event for keiki ages 5-9. Advance registration required as space is limited. $5 for materials. Create and make your own pop-up book with Hopper. Hosted by Village Toy Shop and Art Uprising Mobile Art Enrichment for Kids.
