Gladios "Gladi" Calobar Hoagland, 63, of Ocean View died Nov. 25 at home. Born in Surigad, the Philippines, she was a homemaker, bookkeeper, and member of the Keoua Canoe Club, Keauhou Canoe Club and Keaukaha Canoe Club. Bessie Kikue Matsuyama, 84, of Captain Cook died Nov. 20 at her residence. Born in Kealakekua, she owned Andy's Liquor and was a member of the Kona Community Hospital Buddhist Temple and Hanei Kumi. Eufemio Richard "Rick" Nagun, 61, of Waikoloa died Nov. 29 at his residence. Born on Molokai, he was a kitchen utility worker at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and a U.S. Navy veteran. Muriel Leinaala Nuuanu, 76, of Kurtistown died Dec. 2 at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Duelinda "Auntie Dolly" Rodrigues, 90, of Hilo died Dec. 3 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker. Dennis Kiyoto Segawa, 59, of Hilo died Dec. 5 at Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. Private services held. No flowers. Reed Ikaika Sho Shiraishi, 25, of Hawi died Dec. 3 at the Kona Community Hospital.
