Born in Honolulu, was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army, a World War II veteran, general manager with Meadow Gold Dairies in Hilo, Japan, and Korea, general manager of Hawaiian Holiday Macadamia Nut Co. in Honokaa, proprietor of Honomu Plantation Store, a lifelong Rotarian and member of the Catholic Church.
